Adult groups provide opportunities to gather with other people from New Community over the enjoyment of a common activity, a common stage of life or the pursuit of spiritual growth and wisdom. This is a great way to find your 'tribe' and go deeper with others.

Small Groups

Groups are home-based groups that are multi-generational, where people from all walks and stages of life gather regularly and practice being Jesus to one another and to North County neighborhoods through service projects.

Fall 2019 Small Group Dates: September 7 - November 15

“Come together to consider love and good works, and to encourage one another.” Hebrews 10:24
As we grow older, our children leave the nest, we lose friends in the workplace and maybe even a spouse. We tend to withdraw when it is really a time to CELEBRATE life! As an older adult, we are wiser, and appreciate the time God has given us. We are not in a hurry and have time to fill. We need to lift up each other; to have a new friend, we need to be a friend.
The term, "older adult", is left for you to define. If you feel it fits you, then it probably does. Why not get to know some of us and see if CELEBRATION can minister to you.

Adult Bible Study

CELEBRATION sponsors the Adult Bible Study Class on Sunday morning for all adults during the 2nd service from 10:30-11:45am in the Chapel.

Adult Sunday School at New Community Church is a focused, interactive opportunity to study the Bible through its words and messages.  Weekly meetings involve group Bible reading and discussion, with occasional use of video-based programs from various Christian resources.  In the Fall 2017, the Adult Sunday School will study 1 & 2 Thessalonians.  Adult Sunday School also provides an opportunity for those who want more time spent in worship through fellowship and growth in Bible knowledge.

Illumination Project

The Illumination Project is a six-week Bible based study by Joy Eggerichs, and her father Emerson Eggerichs. This series captures a conversation between the two of them in front of a live audience as they tackle topics including:

  • Love and Respect as it relates to the generation of 18-35 year olds

  • Marriage, dating, singleness

  • Male/female relationships

  • Faith/Beliefs about God

  • Life’s wounds

Groups meet at homes throughout the year for dinner and study.

Studio Connect

Studio Connect is an art focused space that provides a welcoming and inspiring way to worship through creativity and connecting with others.
